Florence Remnants In CT: Storm Timeline, Rainfall Totals
The NWS has issued a Flood Watch and Hazardous Weather Outlook for CT due to predicted heavy rain and flash flooding concerns.

A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Hartford, Tolland, Windham, and Litchfield counties for late tonight through late Tuesday as the remnants of Hurricane Florence will drop between 2-4 inches of rain and flooding is a major concern too.
Areas to the south in Connecticut will see less rain and the flooding concerns aren't as significant here.
In Hartford, Tolland and Windham counties, the National Weather Service says, "Bands of torrential rain showers are expected to develop very late tonight and continue through Tuesday afternoon. Widespread rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are anticipated...but a narrow swath of 4 to 6 inches of rain is possible which may fall in a very short period of time."

The location of the heaviest rain remains uncertain. However... the potential for 2 to 3 inch per hour rainfall rates exists. Depending on where the heaviest rain occurs...the potential exists for both small stream and urban flash flooding."
For Litchfield County, the weather service says, "Tropical moisture from the remnants of Florence will overspread the region with rain tonight into Tuesday. Rain will be heavy at times overnight into Tuesday morning. 1 to 3 inches of rainfall is expected, though locally higher amounts are possible within embedded bands of heavier rain and a thunderstorm.

Flash flooding is possible, especially for urban areas, creeks and small streams, and areas that have already experienced flooding in recent weeks. There is still some uncertainty for exactly where the heaviest rainfall will be, but flash flooding could be especially significant where it occurs."
A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties. "The remnants of Florence will pass through the area tonight into Tuesday. The system will be capable of producing 1 to 1.5 inches of rain across the region with locally higher amounts possible. The main threat from this rainfall will be minor urban and poor drainage flooding. There is a low chance of localized flash flooding."
