The suspect is accused of stealing a parent's cell phone.

A former administrative assistant at a Greenwich Public School is facing a larceny charge in connection with the theft of a cell phone from a parent’s purse.

According to a Greenwich Police report, the suspect was an employee at the Parkway School on Lower Cross Road when the Feb. 5 incident occurred. She is accused of taking the phone and then taking it with her when she left school property, according to the report.

Christine Martineau, 55, of 24 Pemberwick Rd., Greenwich, surrendered Tuesday to Greenwich Police who obtained an arrest warrant charging her with fifth-degree larceny. Martineau was released on a promise to appear April 1 in state Superior Court in Stamford.
