Fundraiser Launched To Support Greenwich's July 4th Fireworks

The Greenwich Parks & Recreation Department is once again organizing this year's fireworks.

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich will again celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks displays at Binney Park and Greenwich Point on July 1.

The evening will see the skies filled with palm trees, dragon eggs, flying fish and various fireworks. A fundraiser has been launched to help support the festivities.

"The Town's Annual Fourth of July fireworks is always the most popular town-wide event," said Greenwich Parkks & Recreation Director Joe Siciliano, in a news release. "The 'Bang for Your Buck' fundraiser enhances the fireworks displays at Binney Park and Greenwich Point. While the town of Greenwich funds the bulk of the cost of the displays, donations to this fundraiser mean longer and more dramatic effects. You can hear the crowd yelling for more at the end of every year's event. Contributions will help us please the crowd and make such a fun-filled family event even better."
