Grand Marshal Installed For 2024 Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade

GREENWICH, CT — Former Representative Town Meeting Moderator Thomas Byrne was installed this week as the grand marshal of the 48th annual Greenwich St. Patrick’s Parade. The parade will be held on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m.

The Greenwich Hibernian Association held its St. Patrick's Day dinner dance on March 2.

Byrne was presented his grand marshal sash by Greenwich Hibernian President Haydn O’Shea and last year’s Grand Marshal Kevin McFadden in front of a sellout crowd of approximately 150 people.

The Greenwich Hibernian Association anticipates a large parade this year with at least 13 bands and many community organizations and police and fire departments participating. The parade will step off from Greenwich Town Hall and proceed up Field Point Road to Route 1, up Route 1 to the top of Greenwich Avenue and then down the length of Greenwich Avenue.
