GREENWICH, CT — Back-to-school planning has already begun in Greenwich, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in Greenwich Public Schools.
The first day of school for all students in Greenwich is Sept. 1.
Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates are subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point. A mix of in-person, virtual and hybrid learning is still possible in Greenwich.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has recommended indoor masks for all in school, including visitors, regardless of vaccination status. Gov. Ned Lamont's Executive Order on masking is in effect through at least Sept. 30.

First Day: Sept. 1.
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 25-26. School resumes Monday, Nov. 29.
Winter Break: Dec. 24-31. School resumes Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
Spring Break: April 18-22, 2022. School resumes Monday, April 25.
Last Day for Grade 6: June 23, 2022.
Last Day for Students: June 24, 2022.
