Greenwich Ballplayer Selected by Baltimore Orioles in MLB Draft

The son of a former major league All-Star was among 11 players with Connecticut ties selected in the annual draft.

A Greenwich resident was selected during the three-day Major League Baseball draft last week.
Brandon Bonilla, a left-handed pitcher and son of former major league star Bobby Bonilla, was chosen by the Baltimore Orioles in the 13th round with the 391st overall pick.

Bonilla was one of 11 players with Connecticut ties who were drafted. The complete list follows:
