Greenwich BET Incumbent Leslie Tarkington Seeks Re-Election By Petition: Report
The Republican did not receive the party's nomination last week.

GREENWICH, CT — Incumbent Republican Leslie Tarkington is collecting signatures to run for re-election on the Greenwich Board of Estimate and Taxation as a petition candidate, reports the Greenwich Free Press.
Like Board of Education member Peter Bernstein, Tarkington did not receive the GOP endorsement and has decided to attempt a run as a petition candidate. She needs the signatures of 637 of the town's registered Republicans by Aug. 9 to get on the ballot.
Tarkington and incumbents James Lash, a former First Selectman, and Arthur Norton were all left off the Republican ballot for the BET because of the will of an "activist subgroup" of the Republican Town Committee, as Lash told the Greenwich Time.

Both Lash and Norton say they are unlikely to mount petition efforts to try to get back onto the BET, writes the Time.
