Greenwich Catholic School Inducts 15 Into National Junior Honor Society
The National Junior Honor Society, established 1929, recognizes superior Middle School students for their achievements.

GREENWICH, CT. – Greenwich Catholic School (GCS) is proud to announce that fifteen students have been inducted into the school’s chapter of the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS™) during a ceremony that followed the first Friday Liturgy.
During the induction, students were welcomed into NJHS™ by chapter advisor and GCS English teacher, Mrs. Barbara Ohls. The new members participated in the traditional candle lighting, received pins, and recited the society’s pledge by vowing to uphold the standards of scholarship, service, leadership, character and citizenship.
This year’s inductees are Christopher Cosenza, Grade 8; Lucrezia Zichichi, Grade 8; William Carroll, Grade 7; William Catalani, Grade 7; Joshua DeSouza, Grade 7; Christopher Johnson, Grade 7; Luke Lori, Grade 7; Ben Lunny, Grade 7, Alison Marzen, Grade 7; James McCann-Anthony, Grade 7; Marcel Melendez, Grade 7; Alice Onorio, Grade 7; Martin Santos, Grade 7; Sophia Waldron, Grade 7; and Lily Wenzel, Grade 7.

The National Junior Honor Society, established 1929, recognizes superior Middle School students for their achievements in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, citizenship, and character while challenging them to develop further through active involvement in school activities and community service.
