Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Honors 'Town Heroes'

First responders, businesses, individuals honored for their commitment to the Greenwich community.

The Greenwich Chamber of Commerce honored eight local businesses and emergency responders at its 2015 annual awards luncheon on Thursday.

The chamber said the awards “honor Greenwich town heroes who have gone beyond expectations in delivering The Chamber’s philosophy of bringing together commerce and community.

First responders receiving awards at the ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Greenwich were:

  • Greenwich Emergency Medical Service EMTs Robert Camp and Danielle Runyon;
  • Police Sgt. Mark Zuccerella, the Police Officer of the Year Award;
  • Deputy Fire Chief Brian Koczak, Fire Fighter of the Year Award.

The Non-Profit Leadership Award was presented to the Greenwich Historical Society and Deborah and Charles Royce received the R. Michael Dunne Quality of Life Award.
