Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
I truly believe in Faith, Family and Freedom and common sense. By actively participating in government, we can continue to make the Town of Greenwich a premier location to raise a family, be educated, encourage business and entrepreneurship and be the envy of our country with respect to our beaches, parks and other Town facilities and programs while taking a common sense approach to spending. Serving the best interests of the community should always be paramount.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ____, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The number of large building structures being built and are currently proposed and traffic. As an RTM member, I will continue to study, research and be the voice of my district to approach 8-30g with common sense.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
Regarding the elected office of Town Constable, I genuinely believe all of us have a spirit of serving the community in a unique way. As an RTM Member, I look at many different things, including spending, common sense approaches to issues, keeping the mill rate reasonable, the quality of our children's education, transparency with my district constituents as well as all Town residents and accountability.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
As stated previously, I believe everyone has a genuine interest in serving the community. The difference is in the approach. We need fiscal responsibility and have the ability to keep taxes affordable while maintaining a level of service residents deserve.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
We need to encourage our Board of Education and administration to operate in the best interest of our children with transparency and accountability.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I am completing my first remaining term as RTM Member, as a committee delegate and understand the issues through district meetings and full RTM meetings, the different points of views and keeping an open mind. Engaging with my district constituents to hear their concerns and be their voice. As for Town Constable, my training background includes protective services and instruction, criminal law, Constitutional law, volunteer fire service, Legal Investigation, Emergency Preparedness, Notary Public, life long resident of Greenwich.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Have an open mind but stick to your principles.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have a genuine interest in serving the community and public service is a privilege.
