Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei To Seek Re-Election

The Republican is slated to make a formal announcement Tuesday night.

GREENWICH, CT — Incumbent Republican First Selectman Peter Tesei will seek a sixth term as Greenwich's top elected official, and is slated to formally announce his candidacy Tuesday night during a Republican Town Committee meeting, according to a spokesperson.

Details of the announcement were not immediately available, but Tesei has been a very popular First Selectman, receiving better that 70 percent of the vote in his most recent election, in 2015 when he won his fifth term.

Tesei will square off against attorney Sandy Litvack, a Democrat who is seeking his first elected office.
