Greenwich Native Hope Hicks Returning To White House: Report
Hope Hicks, a Greenwich native and former member of the Trump Administration, will be returning to the White House, according to reports.
GREENWICH, CT — Hope Hicks, a Greenwich native and former member of the Trump Administration, will soon be returning to the White House, according to media reports. Her return comes after leaving the house in March 2018 and accepting a position as head of communications for the Fox Corporation.
According to ABC News, "sources familiar with the matter" said Hicks will return to the White House in the coming weeks, where she will serve as a senior adviser and report to President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Her official title will be counselor to the president.
CNN reports that Hicks' return had been under consideration for a while, however it was unclear if she would come back before the presidential election in November. In a statement to CNN, Kushner said he was "excited to have her back on the team."

Prior to her exit from the White House in 2018, Hicks was was part of Trump's team from the beginning of his campaign and was one of his closest aides. She she served as both the White House communications director and director of strategic communications.

According to CNN, Hicks resigned from her previous role as communications director a day after she told lawmakers, during a closed-door testimony, that she had "told white lies" in the course of her duties.
Hicks is a 2006 graduate of Greenwich High School. She is 31 years old.
