Greenwich P&Z Commission To Hold Hearing On Sign, Lighting Regulations
The hearing will take place as part of the commission's regularly scheduled Aug. 1 meeting.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Planning & Zoning Commission is slated to hold a public hearing on Aug. 1 to discuss possible amendments to the town's lighting and sign regulations.
The meeting will be held on Zoom. The regularly scheduled meeting will begin at 4 p.m., followed by the public hearing.
First Selectman Fred Camillo highlighted the meeting in his weekly newsletter to the town on Friday. He said the public hearing will be the first of multiple that will be had before any decisions are made.

The topic of lighting and signage has come to the forefront in the past year, notably related to Abigail Fox Designs and a temporary flower display that was installed outside the business in April 2022.
Recently, a large mural was proposed in Old Greenwich, raising questions about signage and commercial speech.
