Greenwich Police Charge Motorist with Driving While Intoxicated

The charges stem from an incident in January.

Greenwich Police arrested a man on several charges including driving under the influence in connection with a Jan. 4 incident on East Putnam Avenue.

Police obtained a warrant and arrested Charles G. Cameron, 48, of 54 Buena Vista St., Stamford, when he appeared in state Superior Court in Stamford on April 30, according to a police report.

Cameron was charged with evading responsibility, driving under the influence, failure to wear a seatbelt and failure to keep right on a curve or hill.

Cameron was held in lieu of $125,000 bond and scheduled to return to court on May 5.
