Greenwich Police: Driver Nabbed for Hitting 60 MPH on North Street

The driver, whose license was suspended, also was named in an arrest warrant, police said.

A motorist with an apparent penchant for driving fast was stopped by a Greenwich Police officer running a radar operation on North Street.

Turns out the driver, who was clocked at 60 mph in the 800 block of the scenic two-lane road, was operating with a suspended license and was wanted by Norwalk Police who obtained an arrest warrant.

It was about 1:15 p.m. April 2 when the driver was stopped by the officer. The man, identified as Kasem Gjini, 29, of 279 Glenbrook Rd., Stamford, was issued misdemeanor summonses for traveling too fast and operating with a suspended license, according to a police report.
