Greenwich Police Release St. Patrick's Day Statistics
Police said they responded to over 400 calls for service this past weekend.

GREENWICH, CT — It was a busy St. Patrick's Day Weekend for the Greenwich Police Department.
According to statistics from the GPD, police responded to 426 calls for service, made 92 motor vehicle stops and four DWI arrests.
Additionally, officers investigated 11 motor vehicle crashes, two of which resulted in non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The 48th annual Greenwich St. Patrick's Day Parade was March 17.
"Spring arrives tonight and along with it more people will be enjoying the outdoors. GPD is committed to making the town as safe as possible and will be joining with other law-enforcement agencies across the country in traffic safety," Greenwich Police Capt. John Slusarz said.

"April is National Distracted Drivers Month, and along with our partners, we will be paying close attention to people talking on handheld cell phones and engaging in other distracted driving activities."
