GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department is reminding residents to lock their car doors and take belongings with them.

In a Facebook post, the department warned that thieves could be looking in vehicles for gifts that need to be returned or exchanged.

"Also, take the key fobs out of your cars. The crooks are hoping you let your guard down over the holidays," the GPD said in the post. "Please don't be an easy target."
