GREENWICH, CT — Nearly 32 years have passed since Greenwich resident Mary Capozza's death was ruled a homicide, and police are still searching for answers. The 40 year-old mother of three was last seen on Oct. 30, 1987, around 6 p.m., according to police.

Capozza was reported missing by a family member the next day, leading to an extensive police search involving helicopters, boats and a tracking dog, police said.

"At the time of her disappearance, Mrs. Capozza was in the process of a divorce, but was not known to be despondent," police said in a Facebook post Wednesday. "Mary's family and friends said at the time that it was also highly uncharacteristic of her to leave her family without telling anyone where she was going."

Capozza's body was found nearly a month later in the water of a North Castle, N.Y., reservoir, police said. Her death was later ruled a homicide by the Westchester County Medical Examiner.
