Greenwich Public Schools Closed Friday Due To Snow

GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Public Schools are closed Friday due to the impending snowstorm. The district made the announcement shortly after 7 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory will be in effect beginning at midnight tonight and continuing until noon Friday. The forecast is calling for 4-6 inches of snow and hazardous road conditions during the Friday morning commute. The storm is expected to move out by midday.

This is the second day this week weather has impacted school. On Wednesday, Greenwich schools operated on a three-hour delayed opening due to freezing rain and icy road conditions.
