Greenwich Public Schools To Hold Safety Seminar For Families And Staff
The seminar will be held in person and virtually via Zoom.
GREENWICH, CT — Greenwich Public Schoos will host a safety seminar for families and staff at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Cos Cob School cafe/auditorium.
Greenwich Police Chief Jim Heavey will be a special guest.
"This forum is not because we are seeing concerns in GPS, it is simply to help keep our families and staff well informed of our protocols and outstanding safety team," the school district said in an announcement. "We will discuss many different safety topics, including: PK-12+ security, additional secure entryways, and updated video surveillance systems."

The community can attend in person or via Zoom. If time allows, officials will take questions from parents and staff in the audience. The seminar will also be recorded and posted to the school district's YouTube page for future viewing.
