It’s made fun of in movies, other states say we have no accent and city folks flock to it like celebrities to a sushi bar — yes, that little New England gem, Connecticut.
Our state does have loads of curb appeal — from the incredible fall foliage in the hills of Kent to the multi-colored, pastel sunsets at Westport’s Compo Beach, Connecticut is beautiful and charming. But there are a few ”ugly spots” which cause risks, depending on where you live.
Safe Choice Security has put together a list, using data from the 2012 FBI Crime Statistics report, to compile the 4-1-1 on the 20 safest cities to live in Connecticut.

In our area, Greenwich ranked #7. Safe Choice Security said this is why:
Greenwich, CT is the largest city on our list and the most surprising one because it borders the state of New York. This seaside locale is another very costly area in which to live and is a favorite amongst the rich and famous (and not-so-famous). The extremely affluent town is home to – no surprise – many financial firms. It is another Connecticut city that has topped best of lists, including Money Magazine’s best places to live in the U.S. and biggest earner category. Its extremely vigilant police force goes above and beyond to keep its wealthy residents safe and secure.
