Greenwich Reservoir Near Capacity

GREENWICH, CT — The reservoir that serves Greenwich was 99.9 percent full as of Monday, which will likely mean that water restrictions will be eased.

It is likely the town will go from an outdoor irrigation ban to a limit of two days a week, according to the Greenwich Time.

In early 2016 the reservoir was at 100 percent capacity, but it dropped to a 50-day supply by fall after a dry and hot summer.

First Selectman Peter Tesei said it's not necessary to water lawns every single day and education will be an important part of conservation.
