Greenwich Restaurant Patron Reports Purse Worth $7K Is Swiped

The woman reports the purse containing other belongings was stolen while she was at a downtown restaurant.

A parton of a central Greenwich restaurant went to Greenwich Police headquarters last week to report that her designer alligator handbag valued at $7,000 was stolen while she was dining.

The victim went to police shortly before noon Oct. 22 to report that her alligator Carlos Falchi handbag was swiped while she was at the Harvest restaurant at 372 Greenwich Ave., according to police.

The woman told police the designer bag was worth $7,000 and also contained an iPhone, Kindle and other personal belongings.

“She put it down and it was taken,” said police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.
