Greenwich Schools Under 3-Hour Delayed Opening Wednesday

GREENWICH, CT — Due to icy conditions on the roads, the Greenwich Public Schools District is operating under a three-hour delayed opening on Wednesday morning.

Freezing rain has impacted the area during the morning commute. Several accidents on I-95 and the Merritt Parkway occurred early this morning.

According to the Greenwich 911 Dispatch Twitter account, numerous cars have been stuck because of severe icing. The Greenwich Highway Department has deployed all of its trucks on the road throughout town.
