Nic Richards, Mark Kelley, Jeff Wilson and Adam Peterson all scored trys in the first half Friday as the Greenwich rugby team jumped out to a huge early lead en route to an 86-5 victory over Rothesay of New Brunswick, Canada in a friendly match.
After Greenwich built a 38-0 halftime lead, Peterson and Kelley registered two more trys in the second half, finishing with four apiece.

Greenwich should have a tough match match next Saturday, when its takes defending national champion Xavier next Saturday at New York's Randalls Island.

Ridgefield 4, Greenwich 2 --Taylor Olmstead hit a two-run home run for the Cardinals.
Girls lacrosse
Greenwich 14, Trumbull 3 --Claire Feeney scored four of her five goals in the first half for the Cardinals.
