Girls lacrosse
Darien 8, Greenwich 7 - Tori Dunster and Claire Feeney had had tricks for the Cardinals (6-1), the state's top-ranked team, which lost its first game of the season.
Boys lacrosse
Greenwich 8, Staples 5 -- Patrick Robbin, Stephen Dodd and Chris Pavelic scored in the fourth quarter for the Cardinals, who pulled away from a 5-5 tie to improve to 3-3.
