Greenwich's Colligan Named A Soccer All-American

Greenwich girls soccer standout Shannon Colligan has been named to the All-American team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, one of four players in the state to earn the honor.
Colligan, who is headed to North Carolina State next fall, helped the Cardinals capture their second consecutive FCIAC championship by scoring 20 goals.

The other state players earning all-American honors were Northwest Catholic's Jessica Fontaine, Trumbull's Alysa Christo and Paula Rose Hogopian of the Kingswood Oxford School.

Three members of Greenwich's field hockey team were honored by the FCIAC.
Midfielder Claire Feeney earned all-FCIAC first team honors while Jennifer Hilibrand and Emily Brash were tabbed for the all-FCIAC West squad.
After missing the FCIAC playoffs, the Cardinals made a surprising run to the semifinals of the Class L tournament. losing to eventual state champion Cheshire.
Greenwich finished the season with a 7-7-3-2 record.

Greenwich's Mirei Kato was named to the all-FCIAC girls volleyball first team. Ebba Marrk earn a spot on the second team while Milena Skwarek was an honorable mention pick.
The Cardinals finished the season with a 15-6 record, losing to FCIAC finalist Ridgefield in the second round of the Class LL state tournament.
