Sybren Hoekstra and Lucy Burnett each scored twice as the Stanwich School girls hockey team defeated Greenwich Academy 6-4 on Tuesday.
Hoekstra registered two early goals, both assisted by Connor Langan, to stake Stanwich to a 2-0 lead in the first period and the Cougars never looked back. After Greenwich Academy pulled with 3-2 in the second period, Burnett tallied her first to restore the two-goal margin.
After Greenwich Academy again closed within a goal, Burnett and Will Meeker answered in the third period to extend Stanwich's lead to 6-3.
