The Redmen defeated BANC 10-4 Tuesday in the loser's bracket final of the Greenwich Senior Babe Ruth playoffs
The Redmen advanced to the final against Rink&Racquet on Wednesday at Greenwich High School at 5:45 p.m. If the Redmen win on Wednesday, the teams will play again on Thursday.

Rink & Racquet, which reached the final with a 9-4 victory over BANC in the winner's bracket final on Friday, is looking to become the first team in the league's history to win the championship for four consecutive years.
-- Andrew Coffey had three hits Tuesday as the Greenwich Cannons moved closer to the American Legion Zone Four senior championship with a 9-5 win over Trumbull.

Taylor Olmstead had a two-run triple for Greenwich, which improved to 18-2. Its magic number for clinching the zone championship was reduced to four. Greenwich has a 3 1/2-game lead over second-place Norwalk (14-5).
Greenwich teams split in the District One Babe Ruth tournaments on Tuesday. Greenwich lost to Darien 7-2 in the 13-year-old tournament, but defeated Stamford 9-5 in the 14s.
Trailing 1-0, Greenwich exploded for nine runs in the fourth. Starter Konnor Kinnear tossed 6 1/3 innings for Greenwich, which faces Darien on Wednesday.
In the 13s, Greenwich takes on Stamford on Wednesday. And in the 15s, Greenwich faces Stamford on Wednesday and Darien on Thursday.
-- The Greenwich Point 1-Mile Swim gets under way Saturday at 7:30 a.m. at Tod's Point in Old Greenwich.
The pre-entry fee for adults aged 19 and older is $40 for entries postmarked by July 1, and the fee is $50 thereafter. The fee for participants aged 18 and under is $20. For more info, visit www.threadsandtreads.com or call 203-661-0142.
Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall finishers and top three in all five-year age groups. Wetsuits are allowed, but will be ineligible for awards. The swim is part of the Stamford Greenwich Cup series.
