--  Greenwich's Tyler Kratky,  the No. 2 seed, has reached the finals of the CIAC Class LL state tournament and will face top seed Daniel Hirschberg for the championship on Wednesday at the Yale University courts (3:30 p.m.)

Kratky defeated No. 6 seed Tom Inouye of Danbury 6-1, 6-0 in the semifinals on Tuesday while Hirschberg advanced with a 6-2, 6-1 win over No. 4 Reid Risinger of Glastonbury. Hirschberg is the defending Class LL state champion.

In doubles, the Cardinals' pair of  CJ Purse-Michael Grund, the No. 4 seeds, lost to Westhill's top seeded tandem of John Petrini and Brendan Pomerance 6-2, 6-1 in the semifinals after winning their quarterfinal match.

In the girls state Open draw, Greenwich's Jennifer Deluca, the No. 3 seed, lost in the semifinals to No.7 seed Hannah Dahlem of Avon,5-7, 6-3, 6-2.

In the state Open doubles, Greenwich's Michelle Vogt and Anna Sweeney, the No. 3, seeds advanced to the finals with a 7-6 (2),  6-3 win over Weston's Alexandra Ashmore and Emma Samson, the No. 2 seeds.

In Wednesday's final (3 p.m.), they will face No. 4 seeds Lindsey Madnick and Samantha Madnik of Glastonbury.
