The Greenwich girls lacrosse team is headed back to the state finals.
Claire Feeney recorded four goals and an assist Wednesday as the Cardinals defeated No. 2 seed Cheshire 11-6 in the semifinals of the Class L tournament.

Emma Christie scored three goals and Shannon Colligan added a goal and five assists for Greenwich (14-5), the No. 6 seed, which will face No. 5 Glastonbury in the final on Saturday at Stratford's Bunnell High School.
Glastonbury reached its first state final with an 8-4 win over Fairfield Ludlowe in Wednesday's first semifinal.

Greenwich lost to New Canaan 10-9 in last season's Division I state final. The CIAC expanded the girls lacrosse state tournament to a three-division format this year.
-- Greenwich's Tyler Kratky, the No. seed, lost to top seed Daniel Hirschberg of Staples 6-3-6-2 in the CIAC Class LL tennis state final on Wednesday at the Yale University courts.
In the girls state Open, Greenwich's Michelle Vogt and Anna Sweeney, the No. 3 seeds, won the doubles crown with a 6-2, 6-2 win over No. 4 seeds Lindsey Madnick and Samantha Madnik of Glastonbury.
