Boston College junior and Greenwich native Cam Atkinson scored two goals, including the game-winner, in the Eagles' 5-3 victory over Merrimack in the Hockey East championship game last weekend.

Picked by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the sixth round of the NHL draft in 2008, Atkinson is the leading scorer for the defending national champions (30 goals, 21 assists for 51 points), who are the top seed in the West Region and face Colorado College in the first round on Friday at 9 p.m. (ESPU).  The Eagles boast a 30-7-1 record.

Recently named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award, Atkinson is ranked second in Division I in goals and is tied for 10th in scoring.
