The Convent of the Sacred Heart captured its first Fairchester Athletic Association regular-season girls lacrosse title with a 15-8 victory over Holy Child on Saturday.

This spring, Sacred Heart is 7-0 in FAA league play.  The championship came 28 years after the inception of the league.

The previous 27 FAA titles were won by Greenwich Academy. CSH's victory over GA on April 30 marked the first time that GA lost an FAA regular-season game in the history of the league.

Softball

Fairfield Ludlowe 3, Greenwich 2 -- Cardinals commited five errors and squandered a 2-0 lead in the fifth inning.

Baseball

Greenwich 5, Fairfield Ludlowe 0 -- Brian Hoff tossed a one-hitter for the Cardinals, who kept alive their FCIAC playoff hopes. Dyan Callahan had two hits, two RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases for Greenwich.
