The FCIAC season for the Greenwich baseball team will be on the line Wednesday when it visits Wilton.

The Cardinals (9-7), who are coming off a rain-shortened 4-2 loss to Trinity Catholic, will be eliminated from the county playoffs with a loss.

Even if Greenwich wins, it won't be guaranteed a playoff spot as the Cardinals have another tough game at home on Friday against Staples to close out the regular season.

Greenwich currently is in ninth place, one game behind Norwalk (10-6) and one-half game in back of Wilton (9-6).

Norwalk had a huge win on Monday against McMahon as James Cooksey tossed a no-hitter while Wilton defeated Ridgefield on Tuesday in a game that was postponed from Monday.

Norwalk finishes with two games (Ridgefield on Wednesday, Bridgeport Central on Thursday). Wilton plays at Ridgefield on Thursday, then closes at home on Friday against Trinity Catholic.
