Greenwich Scores and Standings: May 26

The Greenwich boys tennis team defeated Ridgefield 4-0 Wednesday to advance to the FCIAC finals for the ninth time in the last 10 years.

Greenwich will face Staples in the finals for the sixth time in the last nine years. The championship match will be played at Wilton on Thursday at 4 p.m.

Greenwich improved to 17-1 while Ridgefield dropped to 15-3. The results:

SINGLES: Andrew Blumberg (G) def. Zach Passman 6-1, 6-2; Blake Niehaus (G) def. Jordan Kuchta 6-3, 6-1; Ari Cepelewicz (G) def. Andrew Pollack 6-1, 6-1

DOUBLES: Doubles: Michael Grund-CJ Purse (G) def. Doug Butturini-Matt DePrima 6-2, 6-3.

In the girls final, undefeated New Canaan (19-0) defeated Greenwich, 5-2. The Cardinals dropped to 17-2. The results:
