The year-round travel program will field one boys and one girls team per age group from ninth-graders through high school seniors. Each team will have a maximum 28-player roster and two coaches per team.
The team program will start with a rigorous summer 2012 training schedule on outdoor fields, and follow up with a fall and winter practice and play program held on CPCT’s 100-yard indoor turf field and in the Chelsea Piers CT Athletic Training Facility. The teams will travel regionally to compete.

“I am excited to be creating what will be the best club program in Connecticut,” Bulkley said. "There is a lot of talent in Fairfield County. With our outstanding athletic facility at Chelsea Piers Connecticut and a roster of talented, dedicated coaches, I expect that CP-LAX will quickly become a dominant force in Fairfield County “

Greenwich starting quarterback Liam O'Neill will miss his second straight game while recovering from a concussion suffered in the Cardinals' final preseason scrimmage against Masuk.
That means sophomore Jose Melo likely will get another start on Friday when Greenwich hosts Bassick (7 p.m.) in its second straight home game.
Melo led Greenwich to a season-opening 16-3 victory over Ridgefield last week, although the Cardinals were held without an offensive touchdown.
Leading 3-2 at the intermission, Greenwich scored in the second half on a kickoff return and an interception return. On defense, the Cardinals forced five turnovers in keeping Ridgefield out of the end zone.
Bassick, which has a new coach in Derrick Lewis, opened its season with a 49-6 loss to powerful New Canaan.
