Greenwich Selectmen Decide Against Settling Lawsuit Over Bar Mitzvah
A local politician claimed in a federal suit she was distressed when she saw the Israeli flag flying at Town Hall.

The Greenwich Board of Selectmen has rejected an offer to settle a civil rights lawsuit filed by former United States Senate candidate Lee Whitnum of Greenwich.
Whitnum filed her federal action in 2012 against the town and First Selectman Peter Tesei, claiming claiming she was emotionally distressed by the sight of the Israeli flag flying outside Greenwich Town Hall where there was a founding of Israel celebration with a bar mitzvah in 2011.
Whitnum had offered to settle the lawsuit for $11,000 and the Selectmen rejected the offer at its meeting last week, according to Greenwich Time.
