The St. Joseph boys basketball team rolled to a 71-41 victory over on Wednesday to remain undefeated.
James Jennings scored 22 points for the Cadets, who improved to 18-0 and 16-0 in the FCIAC, while Patrick Hopkins and Timajh Parker each added 16 for St. Joseph.

Greenwich lost for the fifth time in six games and dropped to 11-7 and 9-7. The Cardinals are still tied for sixth in the FCIAC standings with Bridgeport Central, which lost to Wilton, and Stamford, which beat Fairfield Warde on Tuesday.
The game was close early as St. Joseph only led 18-16 after the first quarter, However, the Cadets outscored the Cardinals 16-8 in the second period to open a 36-24 lead at the half.

St. Joseph then put away the contest with a 21-5 eruption in the third as the Cadets took a 55-29 cushion into the final period.
Sem Kroon scored 10 points and Dan Guise added nine Greenwich.
Jennings put on a show from long range, making six 3-pointers for the Cadets, who are two games away from an unbeaten regular season.

The St. Joseph girls basketball team clinched the No. 2 seed for the FCIAC playoffs with a 62-38 victory over Greenwich.
Nancy Stablein scored 22 points, including the 1,00th of her career, for the Cadets, who finished the regular season 17-3 overall and 15-3 in the FCIAC.
St. Joseph tied Trumbull, but earned the higher seed based on their win over the Eagles and will host No. 7 seed Stamford in the quarterfinals of the FCIAC playoffs on Saturday. Undefeated Danbury is the top seed.
Jessica Jowdy scored 14 points and Jenn Vazquez added 11 for St. Joseph, which led 15-10 after the first quarter, then erupted for 27 points in the second period to open a 42-22 lead at the half.
Sabrina Rodriguez and Caroline Barrett each had eight points for Greenwich, which concluded the season at 4-16 and 4-14.
St. Joseph won the FCIAC title in 2009 and Trumbull won the championship last year.

The Trinity Catholic boys hockey team continued its resurgence Wednesday with a 4-0 victory over Greenwich that enabled the Crusaders to clinch a state tournament berth.
Sean Dolan, Steven Lambrinakos, Kevin O'Reilly, John Shanahan scored for Trinity Catholic, which won its sixth straight game to improve to 8-10.
Vinny Scorese made 25 saves for Greenwich (3-15) while Kyle Odierno stopped 15 shots for Trinity Catholic, which improved to 6-3 in the FCIAC and holds the sixth and final spot in the playoff chase.
After a scoreless first period, the Crusaders scored three times and once in the final period.
