Greenwich Student Dies, Community In Mourning
Greenwich Public Schools officials have announced the death of a student.

GREENWICH, CT — A student at Greenwich High School has died, according to an announcement from Greenwich Public Schools.
"It comes with great sadness that we are sharing the heartbreaking news that one of our students, Renee Chin, a junior in Bella House, has passed away," said GPS Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones and GHS Principal Ralph Mayo in a letter sent to high school families and staff on Friday afternoon.
The district's crisis team, including top administrators and members of the district's Student Supports Department, were deployed to GHS on Friday morning to speak with staff and students, Jones and Mayo said.

"If you are experiencing difficulty, or are concerned about someone else, reach out to your school counselor, mental health provider, or administrator," Jones and Mayo added.
The school officials said they will share updates as they become available.

"We ask that you keep the Chin family in your thoughts while they deal with their loss," they said.
