Greenwich Student Hit By Car
The student suffered minor injuries when she was struck at school dismissal Friday afternoon.

A female Central Middle School student was struck by a car at the intersection of Indian Rock Road and Orchard Street during dismissal Friday.
There were no major injuries with the student suffering possible bruising, according to Greenwich Public Schools spokesman Kim Eves.
“As a precaution, she was transported to Greenwich Hospital for examination. Central Middle School administrators and staff, Greenwich Police Department, and GEMS responded swiftly and well,” Eves said in a statement.

School Superintendent William McKersie went to the school to provide support, Eves said.
