Update: Rain Delays Greenwich Town Tennis Tourney Finals
If Mother Nature cooperates, the finals will be played at Binney Park on Sunday.

The Greenwich Parks and Recreation Department has announced that today’s tennis tourney has been postponed until Sunday, Aug. 3 because of the weather. The match times will remain the same.

The finals for the annual Greenwich Tennis Tourney are scheduled for Saturday Aug. 2, at Binney Park — weather permitting.
The Saturday matches are the finale to the tournament that began in mid-July.

Boys 17 and under: winner Jake Gothelf, 2nd place: David Woodbury.
12 and under: winner Meg Murphey, 2nd place Chad Gothelf.
Women’s 35 and over: winner Elizabeth Johnson, 2nd place Leslie Williams.
Women’s open Doubles: winner Decaro/Correll, 2nd place Rice/Ybarra.

8:30: Rodolfo Castilla vs Jared Lissauer
Mens Open Doubles:

Men’s 50 and over Singles:
8:30: Robert Finklestein vs Adam Finklestein
17 and under Girls Singles:
10 a.m.: Melanie Murphy vs. Holly Woodbury
Mixed Open Doubles:
10: Bailey/Sullivan vs Cronin’s
Men’s Open Singles
11:30: Jarred Lissauer vs. Guillermo Eiben
If there is rain tomorrow the tournament will be held at the previously scheduled match times on Sunday, Aug. 3.
