Greenwich Town Worker Took Photos Of Victim In Suitcase Killing
An investigation has been launched into the employee's actions, according to First Selectman Peter Tesei.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich town employee has been placed on paid administrative leave following his actions after the discovery of the body of Valerie Reyes, which included "the taking of photos of the murder victim and the crime scene," according to First Selectman Peter Tesei.
Town officials have launched an investigation into the actions of the Department of Public Works employee, who may have also shared the photos with others. The employee's identity has not been released.
The clothed body of Reyes, a 24-year-old New Rochelle resident, was found in a suitcase Tuesday morning in a wooded area on the side of Glenville Road just north of Stillman Lane. Her hands and feet had been bound.

"The victim was a daughter, a sister and a cousin of a family who is suffering a tremendous loss at this time," said Tesei in a statement to Patch. "This thoughtless and insensitive behavior by an employee is inexcusable. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Ms. Reyes' family."
Upon conclusion of its investigation, the Town will take appropriate action as it relates to the employee, Tesei added.
