Greenwich Woman Charged With Risk Of Injury To A Child: Police

Police said the incident occurred in July of this year.

GREENWICH, CT — A 43-year-old Greenwich woman has been charged with risking injury to a child, stemming from an incident that took place in July of this year, according to an arrest report.

Philip Russell, the lawyer for Lindsey Fahey, said she will plead not guilty.

"The Connecticut Department of Children and Families, which knows about this case, unlike the Greenwich Police Department, has already investigated her and absolved her of any liability," Russell said.

Fahey turned herself in to the Greenwich Police Department Wednesday on a warrant from the GPD.

Fahey was arrested and processed, and was able to post 10 percent of her $10,000 bond.

The arrest report said that on July 27, "the arrestee had placed a dog leash around the victim's neck for an extended period of time."

Lt. Martin O'Reilly of the GPD said the victim is under the age of 15, and no further information will be released.
