Greenwich Woman Found Guilty of Creating Disturbance
Unsuccessful U.S. Senate candidate Lee Whitnum has been found guilty of creating a scene in state Superior Court law library.

Following a one-day trial, an unsuccessful candidate for U.S. Senate and Greenwich resident Lee Whitnum was found guilty of creating a public disturbance last year at the law library at state Superior Court in Stamford.
Whitnum was fined $90 for the disturbance infraction and is now headed for a second trial involving several charges including harassment of a state Superior Court judge who presided over Whitnum’s divorce case, according to Greenwich Time. The trial is expected to begin Aug. 25.
The harassment charges stem from a 2013 incident in which the judge claims Whitnum rang her home doorbell at 2 a.m., an allegation Whitnum denies.

These are just the latest legal woes for Whitnum who has a pending civil rights lawsuit against the Town of Greenwich in which she claims she was distressed by the sight of the Israeli flag flying in front of Greenwich Town Hall during a founding of Israel celebration in 2011. She also has criminal charges pending in Darien involving a trespassing case.
