CT Weekend Weather Forecast: Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms Saturday

Well there is always next weekend to look forward to, right?

The weekend weather forecast has somehow gotten worse over the past 24 hours as the National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Saturday as heavy rain and thunderstorms may produce rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour in certain locations.

Apparently, a weather system is going to stall over Connecticut, which will bring us this stormy and unsettled weather. This is a good weekend to binge watch your favorite television show or catch a movie or three.

For Southern Connecticut, the National Weather Service says, "Numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected to develop along a stalling frontal boundary late tonight through Saturday. There is potential for torrential downpours to move over the same areas, bringing rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour, and presenting a localized threat for flash flooding."
