CT Weather: Chance For Thunderstorms Today Then Beautiful Weather

Much of Connecticut is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook for the chance of thunderstorms today. Here is when they might occur.

A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been issued for most of Connecticut for the chance of a strong to possibly severe thunderstorm this afternoon and evening, according to the National Weather Service. The only areas not under a Hazardous Weather Outlook is the immediate Connecticut coast but even here thunderstorms are still possible today.

The timeline for the storm chance is late this afternoon up until midnight. Once the storm moves through we will enjoy sunny skies and temps in the 80s through Sunday. As of right now, there is no rain in the forecast from Wednesday through Sunday. Northern Connecticut could see temps reach 90 degrees on Sunday.

"Ahead of the cold front isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible from late this afternoon into tonight," the National Weather Service says for Southern Connecticut.
