Here's How To Apply For Federal Disaster Assistance In Greenwich

GREENWICH, CT — After a disaster declaration for Fairfield County was approved by President Joe Biden, Greenwich First Selectman Fred Camillo issued guidance on how residents and businesses in town can apply for federal aid.

Ida caused historic flooding in Greenwich in September. Parts of town saw anywhere between four to eight inches of rain.

Generally, there is a 60-day window to register for disaster assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). To begin the process online, use this link. Assistance also is available by calling the FEMA helpline at 1-800-621-3362, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., seven days a week. The TTY number is 1-800-462-7585.
