Greenwich Homicide Victim Found In Suitcase, Bound: Update
The body of the dead woman was discovered on the side of Glenville Road on Tuesday morning.
GREENWICH, CT — The unidentified dead woman who was found on the side of Glenville Road in Greenwich Tuesday morning was found stuffed into a full-size suitcase, and had been bound at the hands and feet, according to Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry.
Authorities are still investigating who the victim was, and state medical examiners are continuing their probe into the cause of death.
At an afternoon press conference Tuesday near the scene, Berry declined to give too many details about the victim, only that she was clothed and found on the east side of Glenville Road.

Berry would not disclose what the victim was bound with, her ethnicity, approximate height or weight, or the color of the suitcase.
He said it does not appear that the victim was killed at the scene - which is near Stillman Lane - but was killed elsewhere and left at the location.

"Because of the time of year, the temperature and conditions, it's very difficult to tell the amount of time the victim was at that location [before she was found]," Berry said. Police estimate the victim was between the ages of 18 and 30.
A Greenwich town worker made the discovery about 10 feet to 15 feet from the road at about 8:15 a.m. Police closed Glenville Road soon after to begin the investigation, and re-opened the road at about 4:20 p.m.
"The way the body was found, we have no doubt that it's a homicide," said Berry earlier in the day before disclosing how the victim was found. This marks the first homicide in Greenwich in about a decade.
Since news broke of the discovery, the department has received some tips which investigators are checking, but he declined to elaborate.
"This will be a long, methodical investigation," said Berry Tuesday.
