St. Luke's School offers a customized program to give new teachers tools, strategies, activities, and lesson plans to start the school year.

St. Luke’s School’s August Institute takes place August 14 - 18, from 9:00am-3:00pm at St. Luke’s School in New Canaan. The August Institute is a 5-day workshop designed to give new 5th-12th grade teachers the tools to create inspiring and effective classrooms. Crafting an environment that fosters curiosity, belonging, and content mastery takes practice, and the August Institute delivers strategies that bring these concepts to life. With grade- and subject-specific workshops led by instructional experts, practice with over 100 tangible activities, and ample time to plan with constructive feedback, participants will start the year with confidence and a tool-kit of proven skills.
