Letter To The Editor: Why I Support Erin Stewart For Lt. Gov.
Greenwich's Peter Tesei spells out his reasons for supporting New Britain Mayor Erin Stewart for the Republican nomination for Lt. Governor.

Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my support for Mayor Erin Stewart’s campaign for Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut. Erin is the 40th Mayor of New Britain, currently on her third consecutive term.
Mayor Stewart has an extensive record of strong fiscal management. When Erin took office in 2013, New Britain had a $30 million budget deficit. Since becoming mayor, Erin has taken that budget deficit and turned it into four years of budget surpluses in the City of New Britain. Mayor Stewart plans to take her record of financial success and bring it to Hartford.

In addition to her strong fiscal policy, Erin knows how to grow jobs. In the City of New Britain, Erin worked diligently to help facilitate the building of a $1 billion Energy and Innovation Park. This privately financed data center is expected to create 2,500 new jobs.
In conclusion, Mayor Erin Stewart has the experience with managing a budget and growing jobs required for the office of Lieutenant Governor. I encourage all readers to visit her website at www.erinforct.com, and vote for her in the Republican primary on August 14th.
